COM.PEL - Compliance with European policy and Law (2004-2007)

The COM.PEL project investigated the issue of compliance, namely the correct and timely implementation of the measures adopted in Brussels within EU member states. It promoted both theoretical and empirical research and brought together scholars working in this field. The project included the organisation of seminar meetings for academics and experts coming from both European institutions and national administrations.

POLI.PO-UE - Public Policies in EU Governance (2004-2008)

The POLI.PO-UE project analysed the most relevant aspects of the political science debate on the governance of the European Union, linked to the evolution of Community policy-making and its impact on the national sphere. Attention was focused respectively on actors, processes, outcomes and boundaries of governance with the dual goal of highlighting, on the one hand, the directions in which the debate on this question has developed over time, and, on the other, the most recent developments of empirical research.

Local Partnership Experiences in Italy and Europe (2004-2008)

The research on local development partnerships was carried out by URGE, in collaboration with the centre POLEIS of Bocconi University, within the Integrated Project on New Modes of Governance (NEWGOV), funded by the 6th Framework Programme of the European Union. The research investigated a specific aspect of partnership experiences, namely their consolidation as governance tools for local development policies. Empirical evidence was provided by studing the Territorial pacts of the Province of Turin and of the development agencies of the Province of Milan.
